hi,
is anybody having trouble receiving wind alerts from iwind on their mobile
phones? this is what i mean...

my set up:

-nokia 5190 phone, pcs service from cingular (former pac bell wireless),
includes text messaging (compatible w/short e-mails), windalerts scheduled
to send me notice regarding various launch sites at 30min to 1hr intervals
after 15 to 18mph threshold...

had used this feature through fx membership and enjoyed it very much for
over a year...until it became erratic to non-functional a few weeks back.

the symptoms are simple:
-no windalerts to phone whatsoever for days (at time's its blowing). then
suddenly i get a couple out of the blue.. which do not always make up for
the lost alerts.

lastly, i have almost ruled out the possibility of problems with cingular's
text messaging system since i am able to receive/send flawlessly to other
users. but maybe that's exactly where the problem is...

in all likelihood i'll have to contact iwindsurf about this, but i'd like to
know first if anyone else is experiencing this problem or has any ideas.

thanks,

-manuel prieto
