The delays can come from both the PCS messaging and iWindsurf, but I have found
iWindsurf occasionally gets backed up then bursts the queued up wind alerts. In
fact, yesterday evening at around 8:30PM, I received 12 wind alerts all at once
from yesterday and the day before. My wind alerts go to both my PCS pager and
my e-mail account, so I know when it's a PCS problem and last night it wasn't.

If iWindsurf doesn't run their own mail relay, that could be the source of the
problem. My ISP is PacBell and their e-mail delivery service is unbelievably
bad. Messages can spend days queued before being sent on their way.
Fortunately there are alternatives.
