Seriously, let's just use common sense:

1) Do not sail a board that does not have the bouyancy to float you
and your

rig. For a 175 pound sailor plus a 20 pound rig, this means never
sail less than an 89 liter board.

2) Do not sail when the air temperature is less than 60 degrees.
this will reduce the chance of hypothermia.

3) Do not sail within 2 hours of sunset. This will allow time to
swim home in daylight.

4) Do not jump higher than 2-3'. This may put undo stress on your
universal joint.

5) Always wear a helmet and PFD. Carry a knife so that you can cut
your way through the sail if you get saran wrapped under the sail
with your PFD floating you up against the sail.

6) As you drive home, make sure you do not exceed any speed limits.
Drive 55

down highway 101 so that you will not be greviously injured if you
get a falt and hit the guard rail. Find an muzak station to listen
to and ignore the guy driving 2 feet behind you and the cars passing
you at 75 on either side.

7) When you get home, do not shower standing up. Sit down in the
tub or enclosure so that you do not slip and fall.

8) If you own a motorcycle or a mountain bike sell it immediately.

9) Do not pick your nose even if sailing has left crusty debris
therein. This may lead to infection or cause a brain injury if you
fall while you have yourfinger inserted.

10) Consider selling all of your gear and investing in windsurf
videos as an

alternative pastime. The is will keep you off the hazardous seas
and dangerous roadways and will prevent exposure to germs.
