I agree that 1 M does not even show up as a bump on
the balance sheet for most of the SFO officials, but
I was quite put off by the arrogance of their
statements.

A move forward to solidify and document the new runway
designs, when (I hope) this issues is still very up in
the air and the project might not go thru, seems out
of line. The tone of the KGO broadcast that I heard
contained a matter of fact interview with a SFO
official who stated that since this work WILL be
starting soon, the airport needs to be prepared. The
radio reporter did not even mention that the runway
project is not approved yet, and that there is
substantial community and environmental opposition.

I am not concerned that Mr. Brown and the SFO airport
are spending the money, I was just put off by the
assumptive arrogance.
