Many San Mateo residents idd show up at the April 26 planning commission
meeting to voice their concerns. Some of the commissioners said they were
concerned. At the May 10 meeting, one of the commissioners said he was
satisfied that mitigations for traffic ( changing signs and turn options)
would solve the problem. None of the other commissioners contested this. The
opposition by San Mateo residents and the traffic engineer for San Mateo may
carry less weight with some commissioners since they aren't dealing with
Burlingame voters or citizens. I'm sure many of the San Mateo residents will
be back in a few of weeks when the approval phase comes up.
