2 more universal separations this week, resulting in 2 lost boards, 1 sail.

Blue Mistral Custom 260, last seen near the San Mateo bridge. Sailor
and sail got: 1) a tow and 2) a ride with the Coast Guard.

ASD epoxy, white with orange footstraps. Ezzy 4.7 with a brand new
mast. Board last seen surfing down the waves just north of the bridge.
Sailor swam in unassisted from the middle of the channel to the rocks
east of the tanks.

PS: a police officer at 3rd ave said that if sailors would just put their
drivers license number on the board, any sheriff or police would recognize
it and could track down the owner. In California, the numbers are a letter
and 7 digits, or to be sure you could put CDL# before the number.
It is partly anonymous, because license information is only available to
law enforcement officials and computer hackers.
