By the time I got to the lot, around 3:45, most people
were standing around deciding what to rig. I heard
the usual - "it just dropped off a bunch" - but decided to
rig the usual - 5.2/8'8"(207#). I rigged the sail real baggy
to make sure I had plenty of low end power.
The wind was a bit gusty at first, but then settled down.
Around 5pm, the swell started to take on a really nice
shape, which made for fun riding on the starboard tack.
The wind stayed good until about 6pm, at which time
I decided to call it a day. After 3 days of sailing my body
was pretty tired.
Where was everyone? this was the least crowded day on
the water. Must have been a big crowd in the rigging area
debating what to rig.
