I've owned my Powerex masts since 1993 w/o problems.

I have broken fiberspar booms.
I have also broken chinook booms.

Sailed Crissy on Wed til set. Powered on a 6.5, 285. Light near the beach,
but steady wind in the center with a moderate flood.
