I broke my leg at the old Thud (sound a golf ball makes on your
head) Avenue launch site about 10 yrs ago when I "deboarded" and hit
a submerged chunck of cement where I expected mud... memory of the
snap sound still makes me shudder.

About a month later, my brother broke the same bone in his leg in a
parking lot when he was hit by a car backing out of a parking spot
and not looking!

My mother triped over concrete in a shopping lot a couple of years
ago and has a scare on her head now..

For our family, windsurfing is probably safer than shopping if you
go on just number of incidents. :)

Kirk (careful how I "deboard" now) out
