I was out this weekend and the weeds are just starting to poke up a low
water levels (~218). I managed without a weed find but did have a few minor
weed encounters. Next week will probably need weeds fins and after that
they will be mandatory.

If you are really bothered by the weeds, you can launch from around the
point on the Medeiros side if the wind is strong. There is a deep channel
all the way out. The only problem is that you have to pass the wind shadow
of the first island.
