I have been out of windsurfing for a long time, but I used to be OK.
I started in--could it be--1976? I am a lifelong sailor and want to
get back into windsurfing. One little problem: I have ballooned up
in weight. I still work out often, but I have gone from my college
football sized 6 feet 215 up to 270. So I need a really big board
and a really big suit. I was thinking XXXL, and maybe I can cut and
glue in some neoprene inserts that I can remove later when I have
dropped some of the weight.
I would be sailing out of Bodega Bay. I used to windsurf on an
original Windsurfer board in Jenner about 15 years ago. So I am
used to pretty strong winds, but no deep water starts, thank you.
Any ideas graciously accepted. The ones about eating less are duly
noted in advance!
Thanks,
Rick McCabe
