My CDMA Verizon phone works at Waddell, all the time. But only in analog
mode. No digital service wahtsoever. Signal is pretty weak, sometimes fading
away completely. But if I get out of the car, extend the antenna and move a
bit searching for a spot with better signal, I am able to get it. I haven't
tried near toilets but standing on the cliff usually works OK. Sometimes, I
had to dial twice.

Reception is better in the most remote corner of the Alps, but it kind of
works...
