How many sessions/hours do people expect to get out of a board?
My ASD Mutant is taking on water: delam between finbox and mast track, crack at
fin box, etc.
I found it harder to pass people... weighed it and it was 30 lbs AFTER draining
some water!
Bought it in 1997 so it has seen many hard sailing sessions
Usually sail way wound up on a 6.5 or 5.5 with a good sized fin so plenty of
stress and chop hops for my #230 body.
My guess is 200 -250 sessions so perhaps 500 hours?
Some big guys I know break a board every year so they only buy used. I don't
jump high so perhaps mine last longer?

I'll probably get the same board as this really works for me and it took a long
time to get just what I was looking for to sail those 18-25 knot days... I have
an Enduro for really windy days and a "mega mutant" 26.5" wide custom for light
days on 6.5 to 8.8 unless someone has a "must demo" board to try. I tried
several at the windfest and liked my Mutant the best in that size but it was
probably more due to fin and rig...
