I have a dilemma... I can't get enough time on the water and
progress to the next level. Due to work, parenting, etc., that many
of must tend to [not that that's bad or anything], I can't get out
on the water more than once [I'm lucky if twice] a week. When I do
have free time [e.g., after work], it's usually too late in the day
and the wind has died.

So, are there ways to practice off the water so that when I'm on the
water, I can make bigger leaps in skill level? I've seen people on
the modified skate boards with sails. While I don't expect 20 kts
on local school playground, perhaps doing that a couple days a week
for 30-60 minutes may help. Any ideas?

The "watching the video before I dash out to water once a week" just
does not seem to work significantly.
