How was Davenport?

Wend to Waddell on Tue. Fog was coming in a different direction then
usual, hugging the coast more. I would have gone to Dport, which was in
the sun, but had my family w/me, who wanted to hike Redwood Basin. There
was wind/waves @ waddell. Only 2 other sailors out, a few kiters.

I was on 5.2/8'6" (new ahd power wave 262), 210#. Mostly powered. Big ass
waves, had to really time it right....got worked plenty....fun rides on
overhead size waves. Great first wave session of the year.

The board - decided to get the ahd. quality construction, good shape and
correct volume were the deciding factors. This board is amazing. It turns
on a dime and truly irons out chop. The smoothest board I've ever ridden.
On a face of a wave, it's unreal. It has much more performance then I do -
plenty of room for growth ;-)

Skied @ Alpine Meadows yesterday. Boot to knee deep fluff, very cold out,
clear skies, no wind. All high terrain was open. One of the best days of
the year.
