So, I already knew that George was mistaken when he mentioned he thought
that the Palo Alto on Ken's sensor came from iwindsurf, HOWEVER, before
we tear down at the man, let's think about this a sec. I mean, where do
YOU think Ken's old "Coyote and Waddell" readings were coming from?
God!? I notice they're no longer on Ken's site. Now there's a real
thought provoker. I think George made a little bit of an honest
mistake. I remember the last time Ken had to take down those sensor
readings from his site when the evil "Windcall corporation" was no
longer going to provide free real time sensor information. I realize I
may be making an erroneous assumption that Ken didn't find an alternate
source for those sensors when they were put back online (curiously when
iwindsurf became free) and they're just "temporarily not working" right
now.

The real funny thing when I read your mis-information officer remark as
if he is delibrately trying to misinform (in this case I'm not sure to
what end this would be) is the fact that there are very few people in
the bay area who have actually done more for windsurfing in the bay area
in recent years than Mr. Haye in terms of his active involvement with
the SFBA. Yes, that's right - George actually spends his free time
working for the windsurfing community instead of some of us who sit
around and bitch and moan about SFO, iwindsurf, etc. He has spent A LOT
of his time. Maybe you might even notice that iwindsurf does things
like providing information about access issues on their website in an
attempt to help keep people informed and involved. Is that the
caringless corporation of rich beaurocrats you dream of? I mean who
really thinks the people at iwindsurf are pulling in piles of money?
Every so often it seems that people start whining about the fact that
iwindsurf shouldn't actually behave like a business and attempt to make
some money. Grow up.

I understand if you're not 100% satisfied with iwindsurf, but I find it
a little entertaining every so often when people start iwindsurf
bashing. If you really don't like it, don't use the service.
Personally, I think that's a little easier said than done, because to me
it provides invaluable information. I appreciate and applaud everything
Ken Poulton has done for providing good information for free, but I'm
still not getting rid of my pager and appreciate the entire service that
iwindsurf gives me.
