could not agree more with both of your observations. People get very
caught up in the 'static noise' which surrounds our daily lives: commenting
to work, working long hours, etc. They forget to focus on the things which
they really care about. Some pour souls have altogether forgotten what
they care about - what a shame. They won't find happiness in their E.Trade
account - no matter how big it is or how cool their commercials are ;-)
I make it a point to slow down in my day to be nice to complete strangers.
Somewhere along this awesome trip referred to as "LIFE" I have learned that
whatever you want, give it away first. You want people to be nice to you?
be nice to strangers. It's amazing, but somehow, I find myself surrounded
by people who share my values.
This world would be much nicer is people realized that......"everything is
alive, everything is connected"
