I arrived at 4pm to find one sailor in the rigging triangle, he says
it's 4.0!
He and 3 others had been out on 4.7s way OPed, they were done.

So I rigged the 3.7 and the JP 250 (8'2) and proceeded to have a blast!
I was very well powered, getting lots of big jumps on the chop.
Ziped right on up the beach to the waves, which were small, choppy and
sloppy in the 30-35 knot
wind. So I did the full exploration to the Far Side and the inside, got
some more great jumps commming
out of the channel and hitting waves, worked my way back to Steam
Engines, found the wave of the day,
then headed for home.

I just love that 3.7 Nalu when there's enough wind to use it! It's
really stable, easy to control and
just shrugs off the gusts. I sailed it several times when bigger guys
than me were on 3.7s or 3.5s and
couldn't deal, while I was in total control and having big fun.

I checked the graphs for Bodega and Tomales when I got home, and it
seems that it never averaged over 25 at
either spot. Can anyone coroborate or dispute this? It was definitely
30-35 at Tuba, and the Bodega Bouy
was reporting 32-38 on the 8pm report.

It's still honking right now...

Bob
