I've Ridden Both, to me the JP255 just seemed much faster and better on the
Wave Face too.
Every time I go to Maui (3 times/year), I try some different boards and I
keep going back to the JP. The non-skid on the deck is lousy on all the
production boards, I've tried. I have 2-ASD boards Enduros and the
construction is bomb proof. I am 175 lbs and the 255 is just enough to keep
me afloat during the slog out through the sets. I haven't tried the Naish
8'4" , the 8'7" is too big. The nose scoop on the Naish is pretty radical,
yet its a fine board too.

When I get a new board, I will have Bob at ASD or Litewave Dave, to make me
a copy of the JP255.
Might as well support the local boys. If your interested in a Custom copy of
the 255, I know Dave can probably make it for you for less than a production
model, The JP customs are $2000

Does anyone have comparative experience riding the Naish 8-5 vs. the JP 255
Wave?

I've ridden the Naish and heard great things about the JP, but have yet to
find anyone who can comment on them comparatively.

Both the JP and Naish lines are full of fabulous boards.
I recommend you do a Maui vacation and try a bunch of 'em, see what you
like best.
