Last weekend, as we were watching the wind die fast on Sunday afternoon at
3rd Ave, Pierre and I were discussing the various degrees of windsufing
skunks. Here is my take on it, ranked from the mildest (Class 1 Skunk) to
the most severe (Class 5 Skunk):

Class 1: Plan on getting a session in, but the wind dies, so you don't
make the drive to the site.

Class 2: Load car, drive to site, wind dies so you don't go out.

Class 3: Load car, drive to site, rig up, don't go out because wind
dies.

Class 4: Load car, drive to site, rig up, go out, wind dies, make it
back to launch fairly quickly/easily.

Class 5: Load car, drive to site, rig up, go out, wind dies very soon
thereafter, have to swim/self-rescue to get back.

PS - No skunk scale needed yesterday. Blew solid 4.5m2 as Davenport in the
afternoon; smiles all around.
