Pager/Website is wrong!
I got there Sunday and "White Hair Bob" told me he sailed several hrs
there Saturday on 5.2. Pager said NE and it was SE and fun...Damn as I
was watching and waiting to go all day Sat...

He was on 5.2 and his Techno. As we talked, it started to crank up
(about 10:30AM) so I rigged my 5.1 and 24" Wide 8'10" Mutant. (225#)
I Sailed from about 11-12:30. Rip n Schlog. Sail just fine in gusts, but
underpowered most other times, but we had enough scary gusts that I
didn't want to rig 6.5 and 5.5 wouldn't have made much difference as the
5.1 is older 3 cam race sail with good low end. When it looked to be
dying, I started to work my way back downwind....then it nuked! I kept
getting blown off my board! White smoke! Lulls were fine to sail, but
4.0 or smaller seemed wiser unless I changed to 20 yrs younger!

I parked at the Sailing club...and got sand blasted derigging and my
poor neck was raw from the sand and shaving that AM so I didn't even
consider rigging down to my 4.1! I just called it a day.

Bright notes:
1- 100% jibe completion day. Attempted and made one! Most of the time
I just sailed until the gusts ended and then schlogged....or sank
2- I sure got a workout!
3-The Mutant with smallish fin and 5.1 worked really well in that
schologging worked and it was fun when powered. WAY too much board/fin
when it cranked up...
