i rented gear from maui windsurf company thru vela back in july. it seemed
to me that all the jp's they had showed evidence of nose and/or deck
repairs. in constrast, most of their f2's looked fine so it may be a
durability issue rather than shop related. the three pryde sails i used
weren't in pristine condition but there weren't any rips or holes so it
really didn't matter to me.
btw, i called vela ~2 weeks prior to going and was able the booking
relatively easily - the flights were the limiting factor.
