I was at Sherman as well; was fully powered on my 3.5m2 (165lb sailor) for most of the
day. This usually correlates to avg windspeed of 30mph for me. The sensor readings
were in the mid 20's during this time, so that would mean a +5mph correction factor
for the Sherman sensor.

During this period, I found that the wind had indeed lightened up a bit, and then
picked back up at 6pm and later. During this lighter period, it felt more like 4.0m2
for me, which is usually high 20's, say 27. Again, a +5mph adjustment seems
reasonable.

So, it seems like the sensor discrepancy is about the same as in the past: it reads
about 5mph low for the typical summer WSW direction.

Anyone else have an opinion/data on this?
