Sailed Friday at Palo Alto, slogging on a 5.2 and a Mistral Screamer
II. It picked up big-time around 6:30 and I was seriously overpowered
but having fun. Remarkably good ramps for Palo Alto on a flood, some
guys were really ripping it up out there. It was still blowing hard
when I was derigging at sunset.

Saturday at Coyote was packed. It's kinda inspiring seeing that many
people on the water. Rigged 4.7 and 8'2" Open Ocean. Voodoo chop,
but good ramps were there to be found. Rigged down at about 4:30 to a
4.2, which was a big mistake. It was flooding hard and with the small
board, small sail, and a slotted wave fin it was all I could do to
stay upwind. It picked up a bit around 6 which spared me a walk, but
it was hard work. Definitely learned a lesson about gear selection.
When I went in there were only two or three people on the water and it
was windier if anything. Where does everyone go? I just don't get
it.
