Second Saturday in a row with awesome winds (for Berkeley, at least).
Several people predicted great year, but I've been skeptical, at least
until now. Went out on smallest gear 4.9/278 and have started to rethink
the limitations of my board/quiver high wind end. Arrived at 3:45 to empty
parking area at His Lordships with gusts to upper 20's and wondered where
everyone else was. Next arrival clarified that I was just lucky to have
arrived with the wind. I had been at company picnic until I couldn't stand
feeling the gusts pass me by anymore and bailed. Assumed the dreaded
"wedding" curse would probably apply. Gods were smiling...... oh, except
for two nasty whiplash missed-jibe trainwrecks.....
