Jerry - check out the Enduro. It's not a full on wave board - has crisper
rails, but still plenty of nose rocker/scoop. It will shred anything you throw
at
it, and if you place a wave fin in it, the waves will be your domain as well.

Give your business to a local board builder - they are good. My 8'9" has done
me so right. It's the PERFECT bay board. Slogs to wind lines well, tears up
swells, goes fast, jumps great - it just rips.

Check em' out at Coyote.

Good wind to ya.

Z.

Subject: Boards: comment and question

Regarding the previous post, last year I bought a used Gorge Animal 7'10"
for those really windy days (the Gorge blew like crazy). I got it to
replace a Seatrend 8'3" which was too hard to control on jumps and too
difficult to keep down when I did not want to jump (I'm 140#).

The Gorge Animal I have is perfect for 4.0 and under wind. The first time I
could sail 3.5/3.0 at Tomales and actually have fun.

Now for a question: I want a board for 4.5 to 5.5 wind for use mainly at
3rd, Rio and Berkeley. I am leaning heavily towards the Naish 8'7" but
several people have suggested the 8'5" instead. I seldom sail the surf.
Jumping and carving the swell are my main requirements. Any boards equal to
the Naish but not so expensive? Anyone riding a Naish?

Jerry
