You've probably heard this before, but why not get a local custom board
specifically made for our conditions?? ASD, Mike's Lab, Stretch, Haut, all
come to mind. Besides being better boards, you're supporting local people
rather than Euro's who subcontract to Asia.... and you can get it just like
you want it.

IMHO you'll find that if you do a lot of jumping, an epoxy sandwich board
(i.e. custom) is going to hold up better, plus it'll be lighter and
generally higher performance. If you ding your board a lot with rocks or
your mast/ boom, then a hard shell production board probably will be better
for you.

Subject: F2 and Naish Boards

I'm in the market for a new board to replace my F2 Axxis 258.

New board requirements:

* 165 lb sailor
* 5.5m2 to 3.5m2 wind
* Bay bump/jump and some coast wave sailing; a true high-wind convertible.

The two boards on my short list to demo are the F2 Axxis 261 and the Naish
8'7".

Three questions:

- Are there any shops in the area that carry F2 boards in addition to the
Windsurf
Bicycle Whorehouse and City Front?

- What shops in the area will be carrying the Naish boards?

- Anybody have other suggestions for a board that I should put on my short
list?

Tnx,

BobP
