Subject: Berkeley Waterfront Plan Workshop Update

Formal notice just received. Meeting will be at Berkeley Yacht Club in the
Marina (same as last time) at 10AM-1PM on Saturday, Feb 6th. Additional
info available from Patricia Jeffery, 510-705-8133.

I expect that this will be the best, "last" chance to really have
significant input. After this meeting, where 3 preliminary design concepts
will be reviewed, the consultants will further refine and then present to
Waterfront Commission, then Planning Comm., then City Council. Then draft
plan enters CEQA (Calif. Environ. Quality Act, I think) review process with
lots more public comment, but probably much harder to change anything at
that time.

I'll attend both the 2/6 workshop and the next Waterfront Comm. meeting on
2/10 at 7PM at His Lords and give this group a report.

P.S. Windsurfing in St. Barth's was not bad at all :)
