it not such a hot year...

12 months ago i posted "I am truly stoked" after getting in a lot of
great sailing, 90% of it in waves, with some really fine friends.

i guess i was having too much fun, 'cuz my marriage disintegrated shortly
after that... winter and spring were a living Hell for me. I moved out
August and began healing rapidly, thanks again to some really fine friends,
but mostly different ones this time.

so the sad stats:

2 febuary storm sails at bodega
2 at Tuba, march and may?
1 at crissy, june?
8 days on Maui in early September, never sailed the same place twice!
Kuau, Mama's, Hookipa, sprecks, kanaha, 3 spots in kihei, and Mekeana.
the highlight had to be launching at Mekeana on the windward side of the
head, ooching out in light onshores, then breaking onto a plane once 50
yards out...and just going and going and going...clear out to Molokini!
just me and the flying fish, i like it like that. my last day i did the
Zoo early with all the pros, overhead waves, and 25knot wind, then was
all over kanaha from 4 till DARK. felt so good i called twavo from the
  cellphone while derigging.

this week i've been wrestling a hard disk crash...
