Got to 3rd at 3 pm to see the bay solidly filled with whitecaps. Jay and
Harry seemed well powered in the channel. Rigged 4.9 and was solidly
powered (145 lbs, 6'6 Mutant) for the next hour. Big swells in the
channel, but quite disorganized (or maybe it was me - I hadn't sailed for 5
weeks). It was cranking in the channel, could have easily been on a 4.6.,
and gusty. It was sunny and the temperature was not that bad at all. An
excellent December clearing wind session !
