Sailed 4:30-7:30 4.9 Interface/8'8" Enduro (185#) at Powered Lines.
Sailors on 4.5-5.4. A little holey there and at the Sign, but picked up
nicely. Lull around 6 pm when I took a break, but cranked for the second
session. Too tired so I quit by 7:30, but others kept on sailing until
just before dark.

Nice rollers from 5:30-7. Got lots o' air.

****Personal Opinions follow*****

A. Kooks - The kook factor is definitely higher at Sherman. I think it
has something to do with the non-intimidating nature of the place.
Invariably I almost always get: 1) cut off; 2) run over; 3) pinched up;
or 4) jibed into when I sail there. Normally it's not a problem, since I
just go upwind, but on the second session I was so beat, I decided to
stay near the launch. One guy wearing a PFD who seemed to be having a
little trouble with his waterstarts sailed right up my tailpipe when I
was jumping. I almost got run over. I had to explain the mast-length
rule to him, the fact that I don't make all my jumps, and my concern for
my equipment and personal safety (I don't want a fin in the head). Good
thing I at least wear a helmet.

B. Swell - Sure I'm getting more opinionated and discriminating as my
skills improve and now that I've nailed port *and* starboard jumps. Imho
- The short wavelength, confused nature, and small (albeit steep) swell
of Sherman on a normal day just doesn't compare to the nice port rollers
of Third in an ebb, or the truly big (avg. 4-5'), steep and awesome swell
you can get on the outside at the coast like Waddell, Davenport and
Natural Bridges. The starboard jumps on the outside at the coast beat
Sherman hands down. Given a choice and the smaller kook factor, the
Coast beats Sherman on a normal day, but hey, you take what you can get,
and I haven't worn my shorty in over a month.

*******End Personal Opinions*****

Saw a girl walking a dog on the levee road. Funny thing was - the dog
wasn't wearing a stitch of clothing! He seemed quite embarrassed once he
noticed me staring at him. :-)
