Did not make the drive to Tuba - too much fog on
the coast. Decided to check out Davis Pt.

Went out on 5.7/8'8" Enduro (207#), as mentioned
before by others, light on the inside, very powered on
the outside. Would have loved to be on the 5.2.

Nice big ramps. Consistent wind. Fast
as all heck ferries. They do leave nice 'waves' that if
timed right, can mean a bunch of sweet bottom
turns - it is not the clean water of the ocean, but I am
sailing and having a blast. I stopped around 4pm
because I have no idea when the wind dies down here
and did not feel like doing a solo swim in new waters -
by myself.

Weird place to park with rather shady folks around. Did
not want to leave my stuff on my car. Glad that my car
is not 'nice' looking (e.g., trashed). Would have much preferred to have
others there both for sailing, and sharing beers afterwards.

The sailing conditions reminded me of
3rd/Sherman. Would love to see more people sail this place - this should
become the mini "rio/gorge" of the east bay. Total driving time from
my house in the Oakland hills was 20 minutes.
