Just got back from a week in Maui. In seven days, there was no sailing
at Kihei, and Kanaha Tuesday 6.0 for awhile, Wednesday was great 5.0, and
Thursday I heard 6.0 plus. I was told the winds are unreliable this time
of year, and El Nino has made conditions even more unpredictable. On the
other hand, Hump back whales were almost always visible just off shore,
and the snorkelling was great. One good day sailing in warm, blue tropical
water will do just fine.
