Alas, I think you are right. The warm sea temperatures seem to be
preventing the pacific high pressure from building, this year even after a
cold front there is not enough ridging to give us good clearing winds.

I would guess in April and May we will see more post frontal winds, but
relatively few thermals until June or so. Hey, that sounds just like New
England in the spring!
