I'm sure this comes up all the time; where can I look to buy some good kit
(reasonably high end wave board and rig to suit a 220lb sailor) on the used
market?

Are there web sites?

I've heard of various swap meets -- when is the next one?

Also, advice on the right kind of suit to buy would be great (I haven't
sailed in the Bay Area and I've never sailed somewhere that a suit was
compulsory.)

Has the kit really come a long way in the last few years?
