     Where is it located? That is probably the problem, as the wind doesn't
     really reach the shore except at the Marine lab, which is on a point.

It would be better for the sensor to accurately reflect the true
ave/gust/lull, rather than changing the threshold for one sight. I'd say don't
get too used to it's current reports until it's properly calibrated.
     
Sounds like it really needs to be bumped up, Jim?
