At 1:30, Waddell didn't look good - some big guys were out on 5.3's,
and it was pretty holey inside, though they seemed well powered (but
not overpowered) outside. It just didn't look windy compared to Santa
Cruz in town. The pager was showing 12-29/ave 21. The waves were
mostly knee to waist high - occasionally shoulder.

Did anyone sail there later - the pager picked up later in the day?

Drove back into town, and sailed Natural Bridges. At first pretty
overpowered on my 4.0 at 2:30 (160lb), by 3:00 it was manageable and
perfect until about 4:20, when it started backing off. The pager
showed around 12-32/ave 22 during this period, but as has been the
case all spring, the real average on the water was pretty close to the
     gust reading on the pager.

     JIM:
I can live with the NB pager as is - I just pay attention to the
gust. But it would be really nice if the threshold for reporting
the wind was reduced, as an average of 9 with gust of 20 is
sailable, but the pager just reports this as "calm".
