My $0.03 worth:

Excursions. 4 bedroom house on beach, can reserve by day or week.
Roughly $150 per day and includes gear rigged on the beach, video taped
lessons and review (great for working on jibes), breakfast and lunch.
Negatives...right next to runway so loud between 7AM and 10PM and maybe
a few cargo runs at night.

Pearlmans: More privacy, can still use Excursions stuff and lessons for
more $ or rent in town (my choice after you are dialed for the
conditions). Nice quarters, one row back from the beach (behind
Excursions) but a better launch. Paid $135/night for a very nice
bungalo where 2 of us were very comfortable (one slept in master king
bed and other in foldout with matress on floor of patio room). Had a
3rd who slept on foldout couch in living room for a few nights. Full
kitchen with blender and VCR was a nice touch,

Andys. More "rustic". About 1 mile upwind so planes are higher and
noise much less intrusive. Not as pretty and launch difficult requiring
you to swim sinkers out a bit to wind. Rates vary depending on size of
quarters for # of people.

Another place next to Andys is very plush. Same launch, but condos
rather than little houses. Friends report it is maybe $300/night.
Pretty grounds like Peralmans with less noise. I put up with the plane
noise for the savings...

Best privacy and low noise is to book a bungalow in upcountry Maui and
then drive down to beaches. I'd avoid the main beach at Kanaha due to
crowds and reported thefts and use Camp1 or Sprec's to launch.
