Maui it is. You can fly direct, rent a car, stay in a whatever kine
place you want, and do whatever the weather calls for, all with american
style effiecency. In mexico arranging things takes much longer. You
(or your wife) would probably end up frustrated on the short mexican trip.
Maui is america - there's telephones and adverts and all the service you
can afford. Too bad it's gonna be such a short one.

Gear rental shops are very accommadating. You can rent a day at a time,
don't pay for no wind days, change gear anytime, and use top-notch stuff.
