...or..crown sterling Wed:

coyote dead, but crown had wind lightly and steadily across the short fetch
from the airport. Rigged 6.8/9'0 (150#) and went for it. Was on plane within a
few seconds after leaving the launch a little bit before 500pm. Wind had been
slowly building since 430p while I was rigging. Sailed primarily just off the
runway out by the orange piers - wind was best there. It seemed to die off if I
went out too far into the bay. I was the only one out that I could see. Then it
came up suddenly and hard about 545p. Had to flatten out the sail in order to
hang on. Then I changed my area to further out in the bay and was ending the
long reaches back in at around the piers. I saw a couple other people launch
from Coyote at this point. Took one last run out trying to futilely to catch
the last rays of sun as it dipped below the hills. Turned around, prudently it
turned out, and planed back to within 100ft of the launch. Whitecaps and wind
had all but disappeared by the time I had my gear up on the grass. It was
beautiful, warm (air & water), had great views all up & down the bay. A nice
way to send off summer...

More this afternoon I hope. Anyone else?

Jeff
