I really couldn't sail yesterday, as I had to pick up a power steering
pump arriving at 4pm and install it on my wife's stranded car, but
with Natural Bridges reporting 28 gusting to 31, responsibility took a
back seat. Arrived at 4:15 and it was 4.5-5.0 on the inside, and
probably around 4.0 on the outside. Frequent logo high sets, breaking
way out and perfectly formed - peeling for hundreds of feet from the
point across the entire bay. Truly an awesome sight. The tide was
extremely low, making the shorebreak much less gnarly than you'd
expect, though there was still a whole lotta whitewater on the inside.
About 10 sailors out - some getting really long rides, others
     floundering endlessly in the shorebreak.

I debated for about 15 minutes, knowing I had to install the pump,
knowing I'd get trashed in the shorebreak, knowing the conditions were
beyond my comfort level - then drove down to rig up my 4.5, only to
realize I had left my wetsuit soaking at home (I wasn't going to sail
     that day, remember?). Oh well.
