I didn't think there were any Point Isabel sailors on this list, so I
didn't post this earlier.

Recently I got a parking ticket at Point Isabel for parking in the bus
stop. Granted it was a stupid thing to do, but I have seen people do
it for years. Because the area is essentially a parking lot, with
plenty of space for the bus to turn and load/unload, I thought this
was acceptable.

This would hardly be worth mentioning except that the amount of the
ticket is $250 (yes, two hundred and fifty dollars). Obviously I am
contesting it: that kind of fine should be reserved for reckless or
seriously antisocial behavior. It would be appropriate if the bus
stop were on a narrow, busy street. I have asked, in writing, for a
`substantial reduction in its amount.'

I forbid anybody from even thinking this is fair punishment for my
salt ponds prank. ---Luigi
