Awhile back, someone mentioned a waterproof fanny pack that could be
found at better sporting goods stores - I have yet to find one. Where
can this be found, and is it really worthwhile?

While on this subject, I have been considering a "waterproof" marine
radio to keep in such a pack. Does anyone have experience with these:

                - Can they take the abuse of being banged during wipeouts?
                - How dry to they need to be kept?
                - What model has anyone used?

West Marine has 2 models - one for around $250, another for around
     $450.
