Just got back from Baja with my gear. I flew to Cabo on Alaska with a 9' DaKine double board bag (board, 4 sails, 2 masts, 1 boom). They let me slide on the way there and charged me $50 on the way back.

Subject: Air Gear to Baja?

Curious if anyone has taken a WS board along on plane with them to
Baja in past year or so, post-9/11?

I'm going to attempt to take a board to Baja via United in a week.
Did it twice years ago to Hawaii with no real problems.

I have United's Gear Baggage policy printed out to show agents, but......

Also, will slightly fudge on max length at 9'4" and hope they don't
actually measure.

This is for a friend, and leaving there so only one-way hassle.

        Thanks, David
