I have *witnessed* 27 golf ball landing nearby in the 42 days I have
been at 3rd this year. These are ones that have landed within 100 feet
of me (usually within 50 feet) in the approximately one hour I spend in
the parking lot each visit. So this averages to one ball every 90
minutes in ~10% of the lot and rigging areas (although they cluster a
lot). This implies an average of one ball every 9 minutes over the
whole lot.

I did not check the ball machines. But the only signs on the stairs
to the deck say "golfers are responsible for balls leaving the premises".
They give no clue there there are people and cars down there, and they
use the language of meaningless legal disclaimers which are read and ignored
routinely.

They're either not trying, or they're not competant.

Ken
