Jonathan,

I apologize for that politically incorrect statement on our 3rd Ave page.
It was not our intention to offend. Those "site overviews" are written by
many different people and sometimes inappropriate statements escape our
overworked editor's red pen. I've removed it, and you can rest assured it
doesn't represent the opinion of any of the staff at our company. And if
you'd like to write an extension or modification to that site overview (or
any site where you ride) from a kiteboarder's perspective, please do.

My 2 cents: When two different sports have overlapping venues, friction is
bound to arise. As kiteboarders and windsurfers (and skiers and
snowboarders), all of us here at WeatherFlow are super-sensitive to this
issue. I'm personally confident that this will fade as people in these two
great sports get used to each other, and learn to coexist. From my
experience, it's already faded (or never existed) at many launches. We're
all in this together. I actually see *much* more kite/windsurf conflict in
the online forums than on the beach or the water (although even Jetskiers
seem like nice people on the beach - I know it's not true though ;).

I'm also very sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the
iWindsurf/iKitesurf weather service. Our #1 goal is to get our customers
more time on the water, and we work our butts off to achieve that. I'm
interested in any specific complaints you have, so that we can work to
rectify them. We take customer feedback very seriously. Also, your
membership is "satisfaction guaranteed," so if decide to cancel within your
first 30 days, let me know and I'll make sure you get a full refund.

-david

PS: Peter, thanks for sharing the story!
