My friend lost my 2001 Cabrinha 11.5 CO2 at 3rd Avenue a few weeks back.
The kite came with a new set of upgraded bladders that I never
installed. If anyone has a 2001 Cabrinha 11.5 CO2 and wants a free set
of extra bladders, send me an email at jonathan.strausburg@bbc.co.uk.-DeleteThis.com

He lost control of the kite and it crashed right in the middle of the
power zone. When it self-relaunched, it took off so fast that it yanked
the bar out of his hands and the leash off his wrist.

I watched from shore as it cruised under the San Mateo Bridge and right
under the fishing pier without stopping. It was last seen south of the
bridge, in the middle of the bay, heading for Fremont. Yay.

Fortunately, he was only about 30m off shore and had my floaty 169
LiteWave to help him swim back to shore.

We called the Coast Guard about 15 minutes later. We let them know that
a big yellow kite is out in the bay, and that the person who was
attached to it is safe.
