Subject: Baja in April??

I'd appreciate advice on air travel with gear to Baja/Cabo. I've taken my stuff to Maui twice, with United's written policy in hand (proved critical), but never to Baja via Alaska Air. Would likely take small board (278 Axxis), and 3 complete rigs (plus all the attachments). I have separate bags for board, masts/sails, and booms.

Also, is it a complete waste of time hoping for any sailable winds in late April near Los Barriles? I've sailed in that area three times, but only in January (drove down last Spring). Since I'm only going for 8 "sailable" days, don't want to shlep gear if odds are vanishingly small.

        Thanks, David
