The lost board has found its way home. Turns out he had his sail
cap come undone out at coyote, tried to rerig his sail in the water,
a swell took his board from him, was unable to swim to it after
several attempts and ended up S.O.L. in the bay with a long swim
home. Posted a lost board at the Marina and at Helm, and Helm sent
him to Third to find me. : ) So all is well... I now have Beer :
) He has his Board, I no longer have to wait for that First Ding in
my New Board, and we can all sail happily ever after......

Just remember to notify the Coast Guard if you lost your board so
they and your fellow water sport junkies don't waste any time or
effort looking for your Body while you sit at home all warm and
crying over your loss. And remember you just might actually get
your gear back... : )

Sounds kind of adolescent but I think putting our name, #'s, or
email on our equipment just might assist in retrieving our lost gear
and possibly save the Chopper some gas from an unnecessary launch.
I understand that they went looking for him last night even though
all we wanted to do was report the board found. Coast Guard told me
that it was standard procedure to launch a helo when any unmanned
vessel is found afloat. Which I guess is a good thing. But with
maybe a little effort, like a name and number to call in case found,
we might be able to prevent any unnecessary waste of resources, and
save those for when we really need them.

OK so now that I'm done being all Ralph Nader Like can someone
remind me to put my name and number on my own dam gear!

Dave out......

Sailing along at Third Ave just inside the marker when I happened
to run along possibly your board and uni? Floating on down the
bay... Towed it in.. scratched my Brand New Board in the process
(That will cost you extra Beer) and called the Coast Guard to
report it found. Describe it and bring lots of beer... : ) And
you'll have her back. Hope your all right and if alls ok next
time let the Coast Guard know you lost a board so they don't spend
time and money looking for the body that goes with the board. No
  worries I have YOUR board. : )

Dave Red Toyota 4x4 SKYDIVE Bumber Sticker... Always at Third
  Ave....
