For those who know Jim...
Here's an update on Jim McGrath based on my discussions with folks at
the Port of Oakland last night and this morning.
Jim, his wife, Colleen, her mother and her brother were hit head on by a
car racing another car over a hill in rural Wisconsin over the weekend.
Jim has a broken leg, broken arm, fractured pelvis and other injuries.
He has been transferred to a hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin for
surgery tomorrow.
Colleen is in the ICU in critical condition in a small hospital in
Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Colleen's mother was killed in the accident. I don't know the condition
of her brother.
Jim and Colleen's daughter, Bridget, is now in Wisconsin. She is in
charge of communications and will let the folks at the Port know when
and how to get in contact with Jim. At present I don't have an address
or phone number for him.
I'll let you know when I know more. Please pass this bad news along to
others who know Jim.
